My wife Lisa has never really liked her name and felt like it was dated. It got me curious and we did a search on her name (https://namerfamer.com/search?fname=lisa). It turns out, in the year she was born (1981), the name Lisa had already seen its day and was on its way out.
We checked out a few of her other siblings, and it turned out that her parents were a bit behind the trends in naming their children (https://namerfamer.com/search?fname%5B%5D=Amy&fname%5B%5D=Eric&fname%5B%5D=Rachel&fname%5B%5D=Kristen&fname%5B%5D=Natalie):
It got us wondering if when we name our children whether we want to be at the beginning of big trends or just name our children fairly unique names that never become so popular. We did decide one thing for sure, and that is that we don’t want to be at the end of a trend.
